Arkle House is a top notch B&B. We stayed with our baby and had everything we needed, the kitchen was very useful. Breakfast was delicious and the house is a charming, tastefully updated period property. Thank you for a great stay!

Everything was perfect. Clear, cosy, english country style house renovated, worm, good matress, excellent breakfast. Owner and personnel very kind. Only dissadvantage the very small room and shower. 2 m2 more would be perfect for closet, lagage space and shower.

The rooms were spacious and clean. incredibly comfortable en everything was very quiet at what was only a short distance from the Derry centre.What stood out above all was how nice everyone was. our every need was met and the breakfast was extremely good. Can recommend to all.

Stayed here on Saturday night in the family room . Can’t fault it at all room lovely and clean bathroom spotless . Breakfast next morning was yummy . Host was so nice she was very welcoming couldn’t have been nicer . Would stay again if ever back in Derry .

A comfortable room with great Irish breakfast. Close enough to get into the center of Derry quickly (by car) but also on the edge of the countryside - a mile up the road was nothing but farms. Great hosts! Ask Terry to see his shop and projects if you are in to woodworking!

Lovely property, great room, and wonderfully welcome staff. We enjoyed our brief overnight stay followed by a delicious breakfast the next morning before we departed.Only negative was the sofa bed which was quite uncomfortable but that's not a huge surprise for a sofa bed.

I recently had 2 great nights at Arkle House in Derry and was so very happy with my stay … squeaky clean and cosy .Sally the owner/manager and her great staff are just wonderful… so helpful and kind for a first time visitor to Derry … great bed in a room that had a beautiful garden view … breakfast was great and perfect way to start the day …Thanks againCraig

The house is beautiful, and I imagine the garden would be lovely in nicer weather. The room was clean, and the bathroom modern, although the shower wasn't as powerful as we thought, and the drains produced a rather bad smell. No tea/coffee in the room, but there is a communal kitchenette. Breakfast was very good, and we slept pretty well, as it's very quiet. It's a bit of a walk to the city centre though, but the taxi wasn't too expensive at least. The hosts were very friendly :-)

This home is lovely, very clean and comfortable, and tastefully decorated with exceptional antique pieces .An amazing touch was the USB ports built right into the wall for charging our devices.The hostesses were friendly and helpful with information for us travellers.The breakfast was generous and tasty.We would return here if we came to Derry again.

Delicious breakfast - lots of choice.Comfortable room & small ensuite.Not the most reliable internet.Easy walk to a good Irish pub for dinner.Full kitchen available also if you wish to prepare any of your own food.

Bed was comfortable and room warm.An electric blanket was an extra welcome touch. There's a small kitchen for guests to make themselves a cup of tea/coffee. Breakfast was delicious, service warm and friendly. All in all everything you'd expect when staying in a B&B.

We enjoyed a beautiful stay in Arkle House and we would have no hesitation in recommending it for a stay. Wonderful friendly hospitality of a very high standard. The room was very comfortable and homely. The beds were divine and had electric blankets. The en suite was perfect and we also had access to a kitchen. There was a TV and all the essentials you would need. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. We felt very much at home. Sally is a wonderful hostess and her staff at breakfast were excellent. We look forward to staying again soon. We highly recommend and definitely will be back again. Thank you Arkle House 👍🤗

Really enjoyed our overnight stay at Arkle House. The owners are both so friendly and accommodating. The house is beautiful, warm and homely. The communal kitchen is a fab idea. Will definitely be back. So central and handy to get to.

Out of our ten day trip, we booked the lovely bed and breakfast first. And it did not disappoint! The hosts were so kind and conversational, showing us around their home. we even had a couple last minute requests and they were so gracious and accommodating. The room was comfortable and clean. The house and property was so quaint and peaceful. And the breakfast was delicious and extensive. (And made me feel so special in my birthday morning!) The whole stay felt like a bed and breakfast from a movie! Would stay again in a heartbeat!

My husband, daughter and myself came to Derry for an overnight and discovered this Gem , which while being very private and quiet also extremely convenient with fantastic restaurant a few steps away, the guest house itself is stunning and the hosts very friendly, our room was perfect and like the rest of the house spotless and decorated to a very high standard, really comfortable beds and beautiful en-suite, we all had fantastic sleep, then to breakfast, wow! Beautiful dining room with absolutely everything anyone would want, the lovely lady who made our breakfast couldn’t be nicer going the extra mile for us, the cooked breakfast was very very tasty, thankyou x the gardens are also gorgeous with beautiful patio area, all in all I’d highly recommend this guest house and we will definitely be back should we have the call to be in Derry and there is availability here, it will be our first choice, thank you to everyone at Arkle house x

I stayed here with my Mum in a family room for 1 night and I cannot recommend Arkle House enoughIt was absolutely beautiful.. large private garden with a waterfall feature.Our room was large, beautifully decorated and it ovetlooked the garden.The beds were extremely comfortable.Sally was such an accommodating host.She offered to drive us into the centre to save us waiting for a taxi which was so kind.Our breakfast the following day was made fresh and it was absolutely delicious!I will defintely stay here again.Thank you Sally!

We had the best end of our Ireland trip by choosing Arkle House, where we found a family atmosphere and a very beautiful house. The room is very comfortable and in the dining room we had very good service from the staff and a wide range of food. The location is great, close to the Free Dery and with free and safe parking. Only booked the one might with the Arklow as I was on a sea fishing weekend.Was met by Gerry the proprietor as I arrived who welcomed me and give me a quick guide around the property.Arkle house is located l of the main road.Which suited me find,I found the accommodation to be of as high standard.Rooms where comfortable with telly and shower on sweet.Room for one night was reasonably priced with breakfast.I will certainly book again .Next time up there.

A charming home filled with gorgeous antiques. The gardens are lovely. Everyone is very friendly! Margaret is truly an angel! We had an issue with our hire car, which was the last straw for us on our long journey. She saw that we were frustrated and stressed, so she took over and made several calls for us until we finally got things sorted. All this while still managing the other guests. We very much appreciate her efforts on our behalf. We would stay here again if visiting the area.

Our family enjoyed our stay in Arkle house, our room for 4 was large enough. Breakfast was very good with fresh fruits each morning. We also appreciated being closed to a pub for dinner. All Arkle team was very nice. Thanks!

Only 7 minutes from the heart of town but remarkably quiet and tucked back given its proximity to major roads. Great facility, patio and gardens. Spotless and charming room, good sized bathroom, furniture and desk. Wonderful breakfast and great coffee!

Our stay was very nice. The home is beautiful with a lovely garden yard where we waited for our breakfast table. The room was spacious and beds were comfy and the hosts quite friendly. The shower was pretty small even for a small person like me. The pub nearby where we ate is not recommended by us.

We spent two nights in the Arkle House on our road trip through Nothern Ireland and Ireland. It‘s a beautiful B&B, cozy, very well maintained and managed. The House is beautiful decorated and furnished, with a harmonious design. The room was very clean with a very good bed, so we slept very well. The breakfast was also great. We would definitively choose the Arkle House again.

The host was so accommadating, when we turned up wet and cold she just welcommed us in and made sure we were OK and settled in. The room was clean and smart, breakfast was excellent, the morning staff where so helpful and chatty it made the stay so much more than just a bed and breakfast. The house and grounds are lovely and having the small kitchen available for guests was an added bonus. I would recommended Arkle House if you what a confortable base to visit the North West area of Ireland and Northern Ireland

Very welcoming proprieter. Beautiful victorian house, warm and very clean. Would highly recommend it...If you like victorian style then guarantee you'll not want to leave.. But if you do your only a minutes walk from the local bar and restaurant.

My sister and had an overnight stay at Arkle House. The house was a lovely old house in lovely gardens. The accommodation was clean and well maintained. With lovely big rooms. Sally was lovely and the housekeeper was a lovely friendly woman. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of fruit, cereal and a full cooked breakfast. Cannot fault this accommation and will definitely be back. Ten 🌟🌟

This is a place I would return to again and again. Sally, the host provides a warm, attractive and spotlessly clean Oasis just outside the centre of Derry. Really enjoyed our stay here at arkle house. A short drive from town centre in a quiet peaceful location. Not your average guesthouse, grand and luxurious stay with a very attentive and caring staff. Definitely Wil be my first choice of accommodation for a return to Derry City.
